If you missed us at the Viper Room you missed out big time. It was an incredible night with a packed house. As many of you know this was our first show of the year (mainly because we've been spending so much time in the studio). What a great way to start the year. We rocked the house then shortly afterwards moved the party over to the Rainbow Room until they finally kicked us out. Should have some pics up really soon of the Viper Room for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks to everyone that came out. Really kick ass to see such a great response.

The Gravity Guild put on a hell of a show and rocked thousands of adoring fans' eardrums over the July 18-20 weekend at the Pomona Tattoo and Body Art Festival.
It was a blast sharing the stage with four other mega-talented bands: "Among The Infected", "Point Zero", "K626" and of course the mack-daddy-bombage "Crowned By Fire"
The sound system was blazing (and the booze was flowing) which made for a killer event. They were charging 11 bucks for a beer at the friggin stand so we all packed up our coolers and embarked on a true rock n roll weekend.
After the show on Saturday we packed up the gear and hit the town, with John from CBF filming it all. It's probably a good thing he did cuz the details are a little hazy…Except do remember the cab with video screens in the back seats and the smiling cab driver who would play porn on request…as we found out…
All in all it was an amazing time...
For those who were there you know what I'm talking about.
…And if you missed it keep your eyes peeled because the festival will be back...
AND SO WILL THE GRAVITY GUILD!!!

It never ceases to amaze me the ever changing, ever advancing role that technology plays in or lives. I fought buying an iPOD for as long as I can remember, instead choosing to collect CD's, piling empty cases in boxes and drawers, and constantly replacing scratched and damaged CD's in my compilation. I've since wised up and now swear by the friggin thing for music at home, in my car and pretty much whenever else I need it...
Though it has now permanently replaced my CD's, I never thought the day would come when I'd need an iPOD to replace a human being...But that's exactly what The Gravity Guild did.
Let me explain...
The Gravity Guild has been through our fair share of bass players (3 to be exact) and we're pretty much fed up with auditions and the search in general. So we decided to halt our search, stop settling and instead play with a bass player who is drama free, will never miss a note and will always be on time...Who is this bass player you ask??? You guessed it...
...iPOD.
The Gravity Guild had a kick-ass show last night @ Fitzgerald's in Huntington Beach. For the first time we played as a three-piece running the bass track through an amp onstage. We owned it and rocked the house and probably had more fun than we've ever had before! I don't think I've ever seen Jay move around so much onstage. We all just couldn't help but rock the fuck out!
With all that extra room, Abel set up his drums downstage and sideways so he was right up front with Jay and I. That was different and really friggin cool. And the response from the crowd was unbelievable too.
We had a representative from Mercury Records come out and see the show and we also played with a cool band called "Star Off Machine" who had a great sound. They asked us to play with them for their CD release party in September hopefully at The Viper Room or House of Blues. So stay tuned for that show. It promises to be a doozie!
In short we're glad to be a three-piece for the time being. Don't believe that it works?

The Gravity Guild just got done spending a few very long days in the recording studio. Tracked a whole bunch of killer drums tracks courtesy of our newest member Sander Owen. Really looking forward to finishing up the new tunes. We think everyone is going to really enjoy them. Thanks to our new members Sander and Jon The Gravity Guild is sounding better than ever. New Drummer, New Energy!
The Gravity Guild is proud to introduce it's newest member: Norwegian drummer, singer, songwriter Sander Owen. With a strong audition and and a kick-ass call back Sander dominated the competition and as of Thursday night our line-up was complete. After an arduous search spanning week after week, Sander offered a fresh new take on our songs and has revitalized our drive and our passion. And we've never sounded better! In a few short weeks we will be back on stage. Stay tuned for details and tour dates. You won't want to miss The Gravity Guild!

October 1 - Hollywood Residency!
The Gravity Guild will be appearing live at The Gig in Hollywood the first Friday of every month for the rest of 2006. The first show is this Friday Oct. 6 at 9:30 pm. The other two shows Nov. 3 & Dec 1 GG plays at 10:30 pm. Watch for special guests to be announced.
August 25 - Debut album out NOW!!!
The long awaited and anticipated debut self titled album by The Gravity Guild is now available for immediate purchase. You can purchase the album directly through us in our online store or by clicking here. You may also find it in some of your better local independent record shops, and if you don't ask the manager to stock it. Also come to our Cd release party tonight at The Gig on Melrose in Hollywood it will be a blast.
July 31 - Production Complete!
The Gravity Guild's debut self titled album is complete and sounding amazing. Special thanks to TJ Helmerich and Gene Grimaldi for their hard work getting this thing to sound so awesome. The album is set to release on August 25 2006, with a CD release party at The Gig in Hollywood the same night. This will be a party not to be missed. The Gravity Guild will play a special set at 10 pm and there will be CD and merch specials all night. DO NOT MISS THIS PARTY!
April 15 - The new album is almost done!

-Hey kids, sorry for the wait on the news, it has been hectic. As many of you know we lost our bass player, he became a casualty of the city. However our search for a new bass player has been enlightening and we will namet he new addition the GG within days. Our spirits have never been higher and we have never sounded better. We have made huge advancements on our debut cd which we are going to finish tracking this December. Look for a release early next year. Stay tuned for more news within days.
